Badaguan (Eight Great Passes)
A historical mansion neighborhood near Qingdao’s coastline, Badaguan is made up of eight streets, each named after a great military ancient China fort. Along the streets are 300 houses, all featuring a stunning mix of western architectural styles including German, British, American, French, Spanish and Greek. Many of the architects’ names are inscribed on the wall, making the search for an architectural story a fun part of your adventure. Badaguan has always been a popular site for wedding photos as it’s bordered by Qingdao’s No. 1 and No. 3 Beach respectively on the west and east-ends. The building is perfect spot for a grand overview of Qingdao’s No. 2 Beach and Zhanqiao Pier.
