Dragon Cultural Museum
The museum row is a big attraction in addition to historical alleys and buildings at the Dragon Garden.
The Dragon Cultural Museum – you will find the legendary “nine sons of the mother dragon”, symbols of dragons in Chinese cultural and funeral (sacrificial) culture in particular.
While almost all walls are white with dark green tiles, typical of Anhui provincial school of architecture, our Dragon Cultural Museum wall stands out in red color.
In the center courtyard, there is a tall marble pillar crafted delicately with 9 dragons. Three of these “Nine Dragon Wall Tablets” (similar to the one inside the terminal exit at Beijing Airport Terminal 3) guards the dragon pillar from three sides. The highlight here is the display of private dragon collections over long period of time along surrounding hallways.
