The name “Buddha Peach” itself has a story. According to history, an important official from the Qing Dynasty named Zeng Guofan, travelled to Panlong Temple, which is west of Liutai Village. When there, the Huizen Chan master offered him some peaches. Zeng was highly satisfied with the taste and gave them to the ninth emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Xianfeng, as a tribute. The emperor also liked the peaches and gave the peaches the name “Buddha Peach”.
