Seeing a “Seymour Street” in China can poke some curiosity, but there are important historical reasons behind the naming of this street!
Seymour street is named after UK admiral Edward Seymour, (1840-1929) during the British time of Weihai. The architectural idea of combining Chinese and Western styles is very eye-catching. Back in the day, it was a prosperous commercial street on Liugong Island.
